Getting started
Timvello keeps a personal record of shifts, hours, earnings and received payments. In Settings, choose your language and optional display name. Under Employers and rates, add your employers and their payment details. Work records stay on this device; an account is not required.
Employers, rates and currencies
Each employer has a name, color, hourly rate and currency. Add or edit them in Settings. To change a rate, focus its field, enter a valid changed amount and tap Save. Closing the keyboard without saving discards the draft. Rate and currency changes apply to new shifts; saved shifts retain their historical payment details.
Adding a shift
Select a calendar day and add a shift. Choose an employer, set the start and end times and any unpaid break, then check the calculated hours and earnings before saving. The employer supplies the rate and currency automatically. There are no payment-setting fields in the shift form. Several employers can have shifts on one day; overlapping timed shifts are rejected.
Manual time and overnight work
For a manual entry, enter the worked duration and check the resulting earnings. For a timed shift, an end time earlier than the start represents overnight work. It belongs to its selected start date under the existing accounting rules. Check breaks and the calculated duration carefully. Timvello does not calculate taxes, overtime premiums or currency conversion.
Editing, deletion and older records
Open a day’s shift list to edit or delete a record. Time changes use the saved rate and currency. Every new shift requires an employer. Historical entries awaiting assignment stay in the calendar but are excluded from employer statistics. Open each one, select its actual employer and save: assignment retains its saved payment details and unchanged earnings. Review any time edits before saving.
Calendar and employer filter
Browse months and select a date to see its shifts. The shared filter shows all companies or one company. Calendar, statistics and chart follow that selection. Archiving retains shifts and payments; restore a company from the archived list. Historical records awaiting assignment can still be opened from the calendar.
Reading the chart
Switch between hours and earnings. The collapsed chart shows the selected date’s Monday-to-Sunday week. Expand it for the month: the current month ends at today, completed months include every day, and future earnings are hidden. Empty days stay empty. Tap or use accessibility day controls for exact daily values. Employer totals below the chart cover the selected month, even when only a week is visible.
Why are currencies kept separate?
Hours can be combined, but different currencies are never converted or added into a money total. In Earnings, choose a currency: daily stacked bars include only earnings in that currency. In Hours, stacks show actual worked time across employers. Day details and monthly employer summaries keep exact amounts separated by currency.
Payments and outstanding balances
In an employer’s details, record money actually received with its date, amount and currency. You can edit or delete a payment without changing shifts. Monthly earnings describe work in that month; the all-time balance is earned minus received in each currency. Partial payments leave an outstanding amount. A negative balance indicates an overpayment.
How do I save a backup to iCloud Drive?
In Settings, tap Create backup and wait for validation. In the iPhone share menu, choose Save to Files, then iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, and Save. Open Files and check that the dated .workhours file exists and is available. Closing the menu is not proof of saving or cloud upload. Keep a separate copy before replacing data or changing devices. Files contain financial records and are not encrypted by the app.
How do I restore a backup?
Tap Restore from backup, select a trusted .workhours file in Files and read the replacement warning. Confirm only when ready: this replaces current records, rather than merging them. The app validates the file and creates an internal safety copy before atomic restoration. Canceling leaves current records unchanged. Compatible v3 and v4 files are checked; a v4 file needs an already compatible v4 database. A v3 backup contains no employers or payments, so restoring it replaces those current records too.
What should I do if an operation fails?
For an invalid or incompatible file, keep the original and choose another verified copy. For an operation error, keep the app’s message and retry only after checking storage and the selected file’s availability. If restoration cannot be verified, follow the displayed warning and preserve safety copies; do not clear app data. Test a complete restore on a separate installation with demo records first. Never uninstall your only copy of the data to test recovery.
Language, accessibility and support
Settings offers ten languages. Use iOS text-size settings and VoiceOver to read controls, records and chart values. The Help & Support and Privacy Policy screens included in the Timvello app are available offline. This website requires an internet connection. Support and privacy questions: revpixelstudio@gmail.com. The person responsible for this policy is Aliaksei Sidarenka. When writing, include the app version, iPhone/iOS version, exact steps and error message, using demo records or redacted images. Do not share an entire financial backup by default. If you voluntarily email support, the developer receives your sender address and the content of your request. The relevant email providers participate in transmitting and storing the correspondence.
